Circadian lighting

Circadian lighting follows the body’s rhythm: cooler and brighter in the morning, warm and low at the end of the day. We start with daylight and complete it with adjustable light. At workstations we start from 500 lx, with no glare on screens.

timeline: depends on floor

Is this your case?

  • “Light fittings reflect on screens and the team ends the afternoon with tired eyes.”
  • “We have the same flat fluorescent light from morning to night.”
  • “Desks by the window get glare and those at the back stay dark.”
  • “We want to know how much light each desk gets before changing fittings.”

How it works

  1. Measure the light

The Audit sensors record light desk by desk and at different hours. That shows where light is missing, where it is excessive and where it glares.

  2. Daylight first

We arrange long-stay workstations in relation to the windows. We control glare so there are no reflections on screens.

  3. Colour temperature by zone

Deep Focus works with adjustable 4000–5000 K and the Agora with dynamic 3500–4000 K. The Threshold gets 3000 K and the Vital Refuges 2700 K or less.

  4. Scenes through the day

We program the light from 08:00 to 17:30: bright and cool on arrival, warm and low at closing. At 6 months we recalibrate it with new measurements.

What you receive

  1. Illuminance measurements for each workstation, as a baseline.
  2. A daylight and glare control plan.
  3. Specifications by zone: illuminance, colour temperature and CRI ≥ 90 in long-stay areas.
  4. Lighting scenes programmed for the whole working day.

Frequently asked questions

What is circadian lighting?

It is light that changes with the hour to follow the body’s rhythm. It is cooler and brighter in the morning, warm and low at the end of the day.

How much light does a workstation need?

We start from 500 lx, using EN 12464-1 as a reference, with glare under control. The final value is adjusted to regulations, use and the Audit.

What does CRI ≥ 90 mean?

CRI indicates how faithfully a light renders colours. We specify 90 or above wherever people spend the working day.

How is it measured?

With light sensors during the Audit, before any intervention. We repeat the measurement after opening and at 6 months.
